HAND CARVING VIDEO

CLARE WOODS @ THE HEPWORTH WAKEFIELD

I just had to post these images here from last years Clare Woods exhibition at the Hepworth, Wakefield. Amazing colours. Gigantic size. I just thought that they would make fantastic designs for a hand tufted rug. If you look at the last but one picture she has credited one of the pictures to me....but she did get my date of birth wrong.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This picture was taken during one of the Art Hikes. It reminded me of this work and probably where Clare Woods may have got her inspiration from.

 

YORKSHIRE ART LOOP EXHIBITION

The wonderful collaborative art project Yorkshire Art Loop. The finale, showcasing the works of all 30+ artists who participated was launched at Pop Up Art Space in Bradford.

This exhibition is the responses in sequence to the Ian McMillan poem ‘Apple Dream’ written for the project – based on the idea of Chinese whispers the 30+ pieces were created in a response to the previous artist work of art produced over 7 months.

The exhibition was held at the Pop Up art space, Centenary Sq., Bradford in 2011.
